Simulations and theory

Spin dynamics during passage pulses differ substantially from those with rectangular pulses. We develop the MATLAB library SPIDYAN, which provides insight into the trajectory of spin systems during monochromatic and passage pulses by propagation of density matrices. At any time point during the pulse sequence, the state of spins can be observed by computation of expectation values.
